These are my go-to compression shorts for running. I also own the 6-inch version, but I definitely prefer the 4-inch length as it feels less restrictive and more comfortable on longer runs.

I’m not a fan of side pockets, but I really appreciate the back pocket. It’s secure and fits the essentials I like to carry while running without getting in the way.

My only wish is that these came in a 5-inch length. I think that would be the perfect balance between the 4-inch and 6-inch versions. If 2XU released a 5-inch version of these compression shorts, I’d buy them straight away :)

I love these shorts for running for multiple reasons. 1) The grip panels in the lining ensures the shorts don’t slip upwards and they stay in place the whole run.

2) The 5 pockets feel secure and I can store my gels and keys and they do not move.

3) I’m a short girlie (5foot) but the 4inch size fits perfectly for me.
