Menorca Edition

Menorca is not a destination you simply visit. It's a destination you experience. For 2XU Ambassador Ann-Kathrin Boll, travelling the world through triathlon offers the chance to discover places that leave a lasting impression, and Menorca is one of them.

Set apart from the intensity of the Mediterranean, the island moves to it's own rhythm shaped by the wind, defined by nature and carefully preserved. As a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Menorca offers something increasingly rare: authenticity without compromise. Cliffs rising above deep blue water. Hidden coves, quiet and untouched. Coastal paths that trace the island's rugged edge.

THE JOURNEY THROUGH Menorca

STOP 1

Cami de Cavalls

Before anything else - you run. Straight from the plane. No time to arrive slowly. Just movement. The Cami de Cavalls circles the island. Cliffs. Sand. Rock. Constant change. I step into it right away, 11km along the coast. It almost catches me off guard how beautiful it is. Just nature. All around you. You don’t just run along it. You run with it.

BASE

Reset & Prepare

Set above Cala Galdana, surrounded by cliffs and forest, the base at ARTIEM Half Menorca becomes part of the system. Early mornings. Structured routines. Recovery is not optional but essential. A place to reset.

STOP 2

move through menorca

After the race the island begins to unfold. You move through it. Swim. Bike. Run. Nothing ever feels the same. Trails become road. Road becomes coastline. Flat turns into climbing. The water changes. The wind picks up. Every session feels different and that's what makes it so effective.

STOP 3

OPEN WATER

The water changes everything. Clear. Calm. Almost weightless. Turquoise bays, hidden coves, open water can turn rough. There’s space for every rhythm. You settle into your own. No noise. No distractions. Just breathe.

STOP 4

Race Preparations

Everything leads to one understanding: Menorca is the place you come to prepare for the season. With one moment to build towards: The ARTIEM Half Menorca in September. A 1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run. But it's not about the numbers. It's about feeling the water. The wind on the bike. The focus. The run. Conditions are always changing. And that’s exactly the point. You learn to adapt. To trust yourself.

Beyond Training

Menorca is not only defined by effort, its defined by balance. Mahon opens up with it's harbour - wide, calm, alive. Ciutadella contrasts it with history and intimacy. Nature is always close. Open landscapes. Local farms. Fresh food straight from the island. Time slows down, you reset. Recovery and performance feel closer than ever.
