Love my new wetsuit. I already have a P1 Propel wetsuit, which is excellent but I was looking for a thinner wetsuit in between the P1 and a swimsuit, that I could breaststroke in. Looked at various other options .. a Yulex swimsuit , a long sleeved swimsuit and a sleeveless wetsuit all from Finisterre before settling on the SR1 .. and it’s perfect.
I like the wet suit. It would be really functional if the women’s suits had a way to use the bathroom without having to struggle out of a wet suit and then put back on. Food for thought
I freeze when I do swimrun due to personal health issues, so I've bought this wetty for my next event in March in WA, so weather will just be coming into Autumn. Already I have trialed it for a run then swim over 8km, and was great. I unzipped it at front for the run, and zipped it up for the swim. It's perfect so far, gelt easy to run in, true to size/fit for me, and warm and buoyant for swim. I have a full arm & leg wetty in 2XU for my ironman events, and I find they fit a lot better, are more durable and the best wetty I've tried so far for value for money compared with some other big name brands. Not sure if I'll freeze towards the end of the nearly 30km SwimRun event in March, which will end in a 1k swim when I'm coldest, but I'm hopeful this will do the trick.
After reading the reviews about sizing, I went for the medium. I usually wear medium in other 2xu clothing, I'm a size 10. I wore the suit in 5.5 degrees and it still kept me warm (just). Lots of freedom to move, it will be perfect for swim/run as the temps increase.
